"We played three games since we've been to your camp, I
don't know what you did to them, but he has a lot of confidence. They had three
great games, and a lot of confidence in passing. I just wanted to thank you. I
don't know what you guys did to him, but you have instilled a lot of confidence
in him. I don't know what you did at camp, but keep it up. If it works for my
kid, it will work for anybody."

'F-U-N' is the first three letters of 'fundamentals!' Great job
Julo, JT, and staff."

"I thought the inidividual attention given to the kids was great! The coaches were nice and
all knew the kids' names. The 'awards' at the end of each day were fun -
especially having some that had to do with hustle and effort. I know my son
tried real
hard and when he 'won' something it made his day! Thanks for that. Camp was
well organized and well taught. The coaches liked the kids! (You picked them
well!)

"I think you all provide constructive teaching wtihout having the drill sargeant feel. Your
humor and fun atmopshere make it all worthwhile."

reccommend this camp to others."

"I like how all participants are encouraged to do their very best, no
matter what their skill level. Each player is given attention to help them
learn the basics and try to improve on other things. My daughter has enjoyed
the camp."
Melvin Ward
"The boys really
enjoyed the camp and are looking forward to the next camp."

"When we walked
into the gym, you could feel the energy…it was electric! The attitudes
and personalities of the coaching staff were contagious. Learning without fear
of failure. My son was very excited about camp and left feeling like he was
"star" material. Thanks goes to the staff!"

"We would like to thank the coaches and the staff of the Go For It
Basketball Camp. We were very impressed with the quality of the camp, the staff
and facility. We feel that our daughter, Madison, learned a lot about the basic
fundamentals of basketball. Everyone was so helpful and friendly. They made camp
fun."

"What a positive
learning experience for kids of all skill levels! "Go for It"
Basketball Camp does a great job of teaching AND having fun."
Parent
"This is such a
"people-friendly" environment. The entire staff, from the director to
the gals behind the scenes, was enthusiastic, caring, and knowledgeable about
the game of basketball. Every child at this camp should have left feeling
"special" because they were all treated as such. We will be back!"
Parent
"The kids are
having fun and learning the basics of what it takes to be a basketball player.
I am really impressed and would recommend this camp to others!"
Marsha George - Parent
"I have been very
impressed by the attention to detail by the camp coordinators and coaches. The
kids/players are being challenged to do things right versus their way or the
easy way. The kids have been enjoying themselves as they learn the game of
basketball."

"Great job. The
best camp in the area…and trust me, we have been to them all!"
Parent
"It is all about
chemistry….the staff and the coaches are so "together" and the
right hand always seemed to know what the left hand was supposed to do! And the
energy….I am not sure what you guys had for breakfast, but you could feel
the electric energy in the gym. I loved it. Thanks!"
Des Moines Mom
"I found lots of
pictures that I printed! What a great idea. My son is now inspired to work on
the little things in the game like going "woosh, woosh! I thought it was
something new but it wasn't. Coach just gave a basic skill a really interesting
name. The drills were somewhat the same each day, but different enough where
the kids did not have a chance to become bored because it was routine. Hats off
to the staff! Well done!"
Parent
My son had never
attended camp before because he is not "starter" talent and did not
want to be embarrassed about his skill level. This camp was so good for his
self-esteem! The staff took the time to show him how to do the moves and encouraged
him when he struggled. He even scored a basket in a game. If I could make one
suggestion it would be this - the ratio of staff to camper was perfect. As your
camp grows - and it will - please keep the ratio the same. The personal
attention and the coaching and teaching that happened during the games were so
welcome to see. When camps get big it becomes such a management problem because
there are so many kids. Keep your quality…no matter what the quantity.
"Go For It" has my endorsement!"
Parent
"The coaches and
the entire staff was so full of energy and enthusiasm! My daughter was eager to
go to camp each day and did not want it to end! I sincerely compliment the
staff on their organization and the personal attention that was given to each
child. This is the best local camp that my child has attended. We will be back
this summer and will be recommending this to others. Thanks for the refreshing
attitudes of Coach JT and Coach Julo."
Parent
"Lots of solid
fundamental practice for the kids followed by plenty of positive
reinforcement."

"Out of the mouth of a child"…comments overheard during camp.
"Coach, I can
really dribble with my left hand. It's not so hard."
"Hurry, mom, I need to shoot before the coaches get here."
"My coach is so cool. I hope I get to be as big as he is."
"I have to do this for HOW long?"
"I guess sweating is okay?!"
"Coach, could you help me? I can't do it like you!"
"I have muscles that hurt that I didn't even know I had!"
and the staff said…
To our friends:
We had a "blast" at camp with you! Not only was this an opportunity for you to learn and practice the basics of the game of basketball, but it was a chance for us to share with you the knowledge and experience we have acquired over the years.
Many of you have become better ball players, and the majority of you learned a new skill that you will be able to use in your team games. More importantly, you learned about the challenges that face people in everyday life…how to be respectful of others and their abilities, how to work with others, how to listen, and how to turn something that was a challenge into something that was a success!
You should all be very
proud! No one left our camp without a success"… even us. Success in
life is about passions and taking risks. Hard work goes into obtaining those
passions. Hopefully, we have shared with you the passion we have for the game
of basketball.
Thanks for being part of our camp…YOU are the success stories for
"Go For It" Basketball. You took a risk and decided to "Go For
It" and became a little more successful on the court!
See you in the summer!
